PRESENTATION

Good morning!, My name is Veronica Rendon, I’m 20 years old, I live in México City and currently, I’m student of Commercial Relationships at ESCA Sto. Tomas.

The company where I work is called Microsoft, and is a company with high prestige, that is characterized by excellent technology and great innovation in its products, mainly in computers. I’m general manager; my job is that everything is carried out according to the planned and the objectives of the company.

The Microsoft’s company is structured by:

The recent trend in Microsoft is about the new windows ultimate which company is developing; this is increasing by 10% the number of people who use this type of operating system in their computers.

Since Microsoft is positioned as a leading company in operating systems and computer technology, the company plans to continue developing programs and operating systems that are more useful in daily life of consumers, depending on their needs.

Finally, Microsoft is a company that will continue to grow in the global market, taking technology to limits that the user could never imagine.

Reflexions of this week

UNIT 14 LOGISTICS

In this week we saw the Logistics topic, we read a text of “the best thing since the barcode (smart tags)” and we did an exercise the advantages of using smart tags; I think that is very important to know this advantages, because it is an important part for in the products.

Also, we studied a lot vocabulary, as has been the compound nouns and word building; I learned some new words and this vocabulary will be important in the exam.

Finally, we saw the topic of passive voice and, I say, It´s very important to understand howthe passive voice is formed the tense with verb to be + the past participle of the main verb; Really, I don’t understand the passive voice very well, but I will study very well for my test at Monday. :)

Reflexions of the last week

UNIT 13 COMMUNICATION

In this unit we saw about information overload, some words of the negative effects of infoglut and strategies for coping; but, what I liked to know more about the communication was to know the advantages and disadvantages that cause some of the means used to communicate a lot of people. I liked doing the listening about using email effectively and the exercise of homework too. Also, the correct punctuation and how use the commas, semi colon, period, etc.

Finally, in the reported speech, I understand a little about to cover the direct speech, to reported speech; I think that is little complicated, because you should understand the sentence for transform in a correct reported speech.

Reflexions of the last week

UNIT 12 LOBBIES

I think the theme of the unit interesting because it is important to express certain situations with the people disagree and to lobby governments to do some good things.; And I learned the phrases for making a case for and giviving our opinion .It is also important to me that some celebrities perform for charities ang give resources to the poorest people.

Also I learned about sentences of modal verbs of obligation. I think that these phrases are important because you can understand when some persons give an order of obligation, lack obligation or recommendation. For example when you talk with your boss, he will a give an order of obligation, and when you talk with your fiends, they give a recommendation.

Finally ... I hope that today I have done well my speech!!

We disagree with selling the Hershey´s company, because that company is closely linked with the people and tourists who visit the town, they like to visit because of the "magic" created by its image as "Chocolate City" Besides, Milton Hershey would never have sold; he loved the relationship that Hershey's company had with the people and the acceptance that he gave to the company. We hope that an advertisement appears not to sell Hershey's, as a call made by the people.
